Underage Gambling Policy
Lethbridge Casino is strictly for adults. You must be 19 years of age or older to open an account, deposit or play. This applies everywhere we offer our service, even where a lower gambling age may be permitted. Protecting young people from gambling harm is one of our most important responsibilities, and this policy explains how we meet it.
1. 19+ Only
When you register, you confirm that you are at least 19 years old. Providing false information about your age is a serious breach of our Terms and Conditions. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 19 to use our real-money service, and our marketing is never directed at minors.
2. How We Verify Age
We carry out KYC and geolocation checks before any deposit. Our age verification includes:
- Checking your name, date of birth and address against trusted electronic data sources.
- Requesting government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driver's licence or provincial identification card, where electronic checks are not conclusive.
- Matching a selfie or live check to your ID where needed.
- Confirming that payment methods are registered in your name.
- Carrying out further checks at any time if we have reason to doubt a player's age.
3. Protecting Minors at Home and on Shared Devices
Many households share computers, tablets and phones. If young people live with you or use your devices, please:
- Never share your login details with anyone.
- Do not let your browser or device save your password for our site.
- Log out every time you finish playing.
- Lock your device with a PIN, password or biometric lock.
- Keep payment cards and banking details out of reach.
- Keep your account and payment apps separate from any profile a young person uses.
- Talk openly with young people about the risks of gambling.
4. Parental-Control and Filtering Tools
You can add an extra layer of protection using filtering and parental-control tools:
- Built-in device controls: most computers, phones, tablets and game consoles include parental controls that can block gambling sites, limit app downloads and require approval for purchases.
- Browser and search settings: safe search and content filters can reduce exposure to gambling content.
- Router and network filters: many home routers and internet providers offer filters that block categories of websites for every device on your network.
- Dedicated filtering software: third-party parental-control and gambling-blocking programmes can block gambling sites and apps across devices.
If you are concerned about your own gambling as well, our Responsible Play page explains our tools and lists free support services.
5. What Happens if We Find an Underage Account
If we discover or suspect that an account belongs to someone under 19, we will act immediately:
- The account will be suspended at once while we investigate.
- If the player is confirmed to be underage, the account will be closed.
- All winnings will be voided.
- Deposits may be returned to the original payment method, after any required checks.
- We may report the matter to the relevant authorities where the law requires, and we may contact the owner of the payment method used.
- We will take steps to prevent the same person from opening a new account.
If an adult allowed a minor to use their account or payment method, that adult's account may also be closed.
6. Reporting a Concern
If you believe a minor is using our service, or that someone under 19 has accessed your account, please tell us right away. We treat every report seriously and confidentially.
